-Returning to play trumpet for the 19th consecutive Easter Sunday at Ashland, Greg joins organist Sheila Slade-Lee, the Ashland Chancel Choir and contemporary music team in a collaborative effort blending the traditional and the new.

Prince George’s Community College – Center for Performing Arts
-Greg joined the Phil Ravita Jazz Group (Deirdre Jennings, vocals; Robert Muncy, sax; Greg Small, piano; Phil Ravita, bass; Nucleo Vega, drums), playing highlights from the Great American Songbook in PGCC’s brand-new fine arts building.

The Phil Ravita Jazz Group presents “Unforgettable: A Tribute to Nat “King” Cole” – October 13th, 2019
An Die Musik
-Greg joined the Phil Ravita Jazz Group (Deirdre Jennings, vocals; Greg Small, piano; Phil Ravita, bass; Nucleo Vega, drums) in a tribute concert to the legendary Nat “King” Cole.

Private Event – September 28th, 2019
Severna Park MD
-Greg provided solo piano music for a wedding reception hosted at a private residence on the scenic Severn River.

Recording Sessions – The Ravita-Grasso Band – September 7th-8th, 2019
Wright Way Studios
-Greg joined the Ravita-Grasso Band to record a debut of original music, set to be released in 2020.  The lineup for this project featured Benny Russell (sax), Skip Grasso (guitar), Greg Small (piano), Phil Ravita (bass), and Nucleo Vega (drums).

Private Event – August 14th, 2019
Jesuits Colombiere (Roland Park)
-Greg returned to the Colombiere Jesuit Community of Roland Park to perform for a gathering of retired Jesuit Priests, presenting a program of jazz and traditional music for piano and trumpet.

Sunday Worship Service – August 4th, 2019

-Greg returned to Ashland, performing in a service featuring the works of Bach, Paradies, and others.

Weekly Sunday Worship Service – June and July, 2019
Babcock Presbyterian Church
-Greg served as the Interim Pianist at Babcock, accompanying choir, congregation, and others in a weekly blended service featuring contemporary and traditional worship music.

Jazz One presents “Happening Now” – July 12th, 2019
An Die Musik
-Jazz One returned to An Die Musik in a concert featuring original music of the evening’s performers, presenting works by Benny Russell (saxophone), Skip Grasso (guitar), Greg Small (piano), Phil Ravita (bass), and Nucleo Vega (drums).

-Greg returned to Ashland to provide piano music in a service featuring the works of Handel, Bourgeois, Lennon, and others.

-Appearing as part of the Ward Virts Concert Series, Jazz One presented the music of the afternoon’s performers, in a program featuring works by Benny Green (saxophone), Skip Grasso (guitar), Greg Small (piano), Phil Ravita (bass), and Nucleo Vega (drums).

Prince George’s Community College Jazz Faculty Concert – April 24th, 2019
Prince George’s Community College
-Greg performed as a guest pianist with the PGCC Jazz Faculty, presenting a concert of jazz standards from the 1930’s to the present, rounding out a trio including Phil Ravita (bass) and Keith Umbach (drums).

Easter Sunday Service – April 21st, 2019
Ashland Presbyterian Church
-Greg returned to play trumpet at Ashland for an 18th Easter Sunday along with organist Sheila Slade-Lee and the Ashland Chancel Choir.

Baltimore Jazz Consortium – March 29th, 2019
Edenwald Retirement Community
-Featuring Greg Thompkins (saxophone), Shawn Simon (bass), and Chuck Ferrell (drums), Greg played piano with the BJC in a well-received performance at Edenwald’s concert series.  Highlights from the concert can be found here.
